Triumph Tiger 900 vs. 1200

Two Tigers built to go far. One easier to manage, one the flagship.

Both are adventure tourers with a 19-inch front wheel, heated grips, Shift Assist and a full-color 7-inch screen. The real difference is size: the Tiger 900 is lighter and easier to manage, the Tiger 1200 has a 1160cc triple and the equipment for very long days.

Is the Tiger 1200 worth the step up?

It comes down to how far, and how loaded, you ride.

If you want an adventure bike you can live with every day, the Tiger 900 is lighter, easier to manage and well equipped.

If you cover big miles two-up with luggage and want the most capable Tiger, the 1200 earns its keep. The step up is $4,400 in MSRP.

Our advice: Sit on both, ideally with your passenger. Weight and seat height decide this one for most riders.

The best way to decide is to sit on both, back to back. We'll have them side by side for you.
