Our take on the Scrambler
An 803cc air-cooled L-twin with desmodromic timing makes 73 hp and 48.1 lb-ft, and it delivers that punch with a grin-inducing eagerness that makes every ride feel lively. The riding position is upright and easy, the bike turns in with little effort, and its gorgeous style practically asks you to make it your own.
Around town the Scrambler feels light and nimble, and the flat 31.3-inch seat is comfortable for both rider and passenger. The clutch is light and the engine is friendly at low speed, so a quick coffee run has a way of turning into an afternoon on the back roads. Find a twisty road and the bark of that air-cooled twin is pure happiness.
What the reviewers say
“This Scrambler avoids much of the nose dive under braking that ADV and other upright bikes inevitably produce.”
SlashGearMichael Teo Van Runkle, December 2023Read the review on SlashGear (opens in a new tab) “Steering is sharp and you would not guess that you have an 18 inch wheel up the front.”

Questions riders ask
Icon, Nightshift or Full Throttle?
All three share the 803cc twin and 73 hp, and all three are a joy to ride. The Icon is the colorful original. The Nightshift adds a flat handlebar, bar-end mirrors and spoked wheels. The Full Throttle is the street tracker, with a low handlebar, a Termignoni muffler and a standard quickshifter.
What's the seat height?
31.3 inches as standard on the Icon, Nightshift and Full Throttle. Ducati also makes an accessory high seat at 31.9 inches and an accessory low seat at 30.7 inches.
What riding modes does it have?
Two, Road and Sport, through the ride-by-wire throttle. Cornering ABS is standard, and Ducati Traction Control has four preset levels of intervention that can be switched off.
Compare two Scrambler versions

Choose the Full Throttle if you want the street tracker. A Termignoni muffler, Quick Shift, a low bar and side number plates give it the flat-track look and a sportier feel.
Choose the Icon if you want the classic Scrambler. It's the same 73 hp twin, suspension and brakes, for $1,500 less.
More on these two
Which one fits your riding
The Icon: The Icon is relaxed and easy, and a lot of fun around town. It never asks you to chase the revs, and it's just as happy on a coffee run as a canyon loop.
The Full Throttle: The Full Throttle is the Scrambler with its sleeves rolled up. The Termignoni sound and the quickshifter make every ride feel quicker, and the low bar puts you in a sportier stance.
What the Full Throttle adds
Everything in the Icon, plus:
- A Termignoni muffler
- Ducati Quick Shift up and down
- A low handlebar and side number plates
