Every rider should be able to find a bike, book a ride or service, and talk to us, whatever device or assistive technology they use. This page explains how we build for that, what we know still needs work, and how to get help.
Our standard
We build and test this site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
We aim to meet that standard on every page, and we check the whole site against it before each release. If you find something that gets in your way, please tell us and we’ll fix it.
How we build and test it
Accessibility is built into the site itself, not added on top.
- No overlay widget. We don’t use an add-on toolbar that claims to fix accessibility. The site’s own pages, forms and menus are built to work with your browser and your tools.
- Automated checks across every page before a version of the site goes live.
- Real text, not pictures of text. Headlines over photos are real text, so they enlarge, translate and read aloud.
- Reduced motion. If your device asks for less motion, the site respects it.
- The cookie banner works with a keyboard and screen readers, and “Reject” is as easy to reach as “Accept.”
Content from others
Manufacturer brochures and spec sheets are PDFs we don’t create, and YouTube’s video player is YouTube’s. If any of them doesn’t work for you, call us and we’ll read you what you need.
Sites run by others. Our online stores, shop.socalmotorcycles.com and offroad.socalmotorcycles.com, run on Shopify. Links to manufacturers, lenders, Google Maps and YouTube go to sites we don’t control. If any of them gets in your way, contact us and we’ll help directly.
What we know still needs work
In October 2026 we checked every type of page with automated tools and tested the site by hand with a keyboard. One thing is still open:
- Expandable sections. The footer’s sections and a bike’s “What comes standard” list open and close like buttons and carry a heading inside. We’re checking how screen readers such as VoiceOver announce them, and we’ll change them if they’re hard to use.
If you find anything else, please tell us. Every report is added here until it’s fixed.
Get help, or tell us what’s wrong
If something on this site is hard to use, or you’d like information in another format, we want to know. We can:
- take your enquiry, test ride, service booking or trade-in details by phone;
- go through a credit application with you by phone or in person;
- read out or email any information on the site, including prices and the fee breakdown for a bike;
- send information as plain-text email, which works with any screen reader.

Visiting us
The dealership has accessible parking and a step-free entrance. If you need anything else to visit comfortably, call ahead and we’ll have it ready.
Keeping it right
We re-check accessibility whenever a new type of page is added and review this statement at least once a year. We’ll update the date at the top each time.
