Our take on the Bonneville Bobber
The Bobber is Triumph's original factory custom, and nothing else in the lineup feels quite like it. It sits low and muscular on a floating solo seat with hidden rear suspension, and its 1200cc High Torque twin runs a dedicated hot-rod tune. Twist the throttle and all 78 lb-ft of torque comes on strong and smooth, with a deep, raw soundtrack from the twin silencers.
With the seat at just 27.2 inches you sit down in the bike rather than on top of it, and that low center of gravity makes it easy to place at walking pace and planted through a corner. It is a factory custom with real attitude.
What the reviewers say
“It’s no lightweight, but its appetite for corners never fails to take you by surprise, thanks to the genius of Triumph’s chassis engineers.”
MCNMichael Neeves and Jon Urry, January 2026Read the review on MCN (opens in a new tab) “…in terms of legit cool style, there’s pretty much nothing in the Triumph catalog, let alone the Bonneville sub-name, that can touch the Bobber.”
Cycle NewsRennie Scaysbrook, January 2026Read the review on Cycle News (opens in a new tab) “Pedestrians stared. Motorists gawked. Even the passenger in an adjacent car rolled down their window to ask about the bike.”

Questions riders ask
How low is the seat?
27.2 inches, one of the lowest seats Triumph makes, so it is easy to put your feet down at a stop.
Bobber or Speedmaster?
Same 1200cc High Torque engine. The Bobber is the stripped-back hot rod; the Speedmaster adds forward foot controls and swept-back beach bars for a laid-back cruiser ride, with a 27.8-inch seat.
