Our take on the Thruxton
The all-new Thruxton 400 blends heritage with modern sophistication, and its clip-on handlebars, sculpted fuel tank and sleek fairing create an unmistakable café racer silhouette. Its responsive liquid-cooled DOHC single makes 41.4 HP and loves to be revved.
The stainless twin-skin header gives it a crisp Triumph sound, and an analog speedometer with an integrated LCD screen keeps the cockpit classic.
The 31-inch seat and tucked-in riding position make every ride feel like a quick lap, and the light chassis flicks into corners with almost no effort. It is a confident, engaging ride every time you head out.
What the reviewers say
“It's a subtle boost, achieved by a new inlet camshaft and retune of the ECU to suit it, but enough to alter the engine's characteristics and make it feel more flexible and fun.”
MCNJustin Hayzelden, April 2026Read the review on MCN (opens in a new tab) “Changing direction takes little effort, as the Thruxton is responsive but without any hint of nervousness.”
Ultimate MotorcyclingKelly Callan, April 2026Read the review on Ultimate Motorcycling (opens in a new tab) “Fast sweeping turns require a bit extra countersteering compared to the Tracker but once leaned over, it feels stable and planted, holding a line with confidence.”
