Our take on the Interceptor 650
Its 648cc air/oil-cooled engine is smooth through the rev range and more spirited than its numbers suggest, with a mellow growl that's a treat to listen to, and the upright, roomy riding position makes every ride feel easy. It handles city traffic with ease and settles into a relaxed cruise on the open road, and it's the kind of bike you never want to park.
A wide handlebar and a 31.7-inch seat give it a comfortable, laid-back feel, and its 24-degree rake keeps it nimble in the city and planted on the highway. Royal Enfield estimates 63 mpg from the 3.6-gallon tank, so the INT is every bit as practical as it is handsome, and it's very handsome.
What the reviewers say
“The INT 650 isn't about going fast but it will bait you into it on lazy backroads since it handles so well and makes better-than-you-would-think power.”

Questions riders ask
INT 650 or Continental GT 650?
Same 648cc twin and 47 hp. The INT 650 is the roadster, with a wide handlebar, a laid-back riding position and a 31.7-inch seat. The Continental GT is the cafe racer, with a tucked-in riding position and a 32.3-inch seat.
What's the seat height?
31.7 inches. Paired with the wide handlebar and a confidence-inspiring riding position, it gives the INT a relaxed, upright feel that stays comfortable on longer rides.
How much does it weigh?
Royal Enfield lists a wet weight of 480 lb. The agile chassis and wide handlebar make it feel lighter than that once you're rolling, which makes it a lot of fun on a twisty road, and it stays steady at highway speed.
