Our take on the Speed Triple 1200
Its 1,160cc triple makes 180.5 HP and delivers incredible triple-powered acceleration, wrapped in iconic Speed Triple design.
The technology is just as serious. Öhlins SmartEC3 semi-active suspension adapts as you ride, and Optimized Cornering ABS and switchable cornering traction control work alongside Front Wheel Lift Control with four levels of intervention, Engine Braking Control and Triumph Shift Assist. You also get fully adjustable cruise control, an adjustable steering damper and the My Triumph Connectivity System.
Five riding modes, Rain, Road, Sport, Track and Rider, let you tune its character to the day, and Braking Slide Assist joins in when you select Track. At 439 lb with fuel it is the ultimate Speed Triple, and it feels like it on every road.
What the reviewers say
“Bumps and ripples may as well not have existed, and yet the feel changed drastically as soon as a corner or something dynamic came our way.”
RevZilla Common TreadRich Taylor, March 2025Read the review on RevZilla Common Tread (opens in a new tab) “It’ll drive out of corners with savage intent, with the front wheel dangling on the customisable wheelie control, or hold your hand in sub-standard conditions as a docile, comfy three-cylinder roadster.”
MCNDan Sutherland, March 2025Read the review on MCN (opens in a new tab) “The Speed Triple surges along on a wave of well-mannered violence, part-throttle power in the first three gears more than enough to trigger the new IMU-informed wheelie control.”

Questions riders ask
Speed Triple 1200 RS or 1200 RX?
Same 1,160cc triple and 180.5 HP. The 1200 RX swaps the RS's handlebars for clip-ons and adds a mechatronic Öhlins steering damper and Brembo Stylema calipers for a track-focused riding position. The RS keeps the roadster stance with a 32.7-inch seat.
How tall is the seat?
32.7 inches, and the tank holds 4.1 gallons.
