I Wanna Ride!

We have been doing some riding, but now it’s getting time to put in some serious miles! Fingers crossed, this virus nightmare seems to be subsiding, and with the weather getting brilliant and Cyndy getting her new motorcycle were going to travel!

These are our family motorcycles. I have my trusty and loved Bonneville T120, she has her new Speed Twin and we share our new Tiger 900 GT Pro.

Cyndy got rid of her Tiger 800 as soon as she rode the new Tiger 900 because the difference is incredible. I sold my Tiger 800 a while ago, but have missed it, so we decided to get the 900 and share it. That enabled her to get her Speed Twin which she has wanted since we first rode one in England. Day rides are great, and we have some planned, but it’s also nice to do an overnighter. You can take a long ride, stay overnight somewhere and return the next day! I have been doing shorter morning jaunts and they are also a blast!

Think about getting out on your bike! We have been cooped up for a long time, and things look to be opening up soon. So what better way to start living again than to ride. There is an old saying that I have seriously related to nearly all my life, and that is “ Live to Ride and Ride to Live.”

Royal Enfield gearing up for new metal offensive

Royal Enfield have revealed big plans for the future and say even the current Coronavirus crisis won’t stop their long-term aims as they look to unleash up to 14 new bikes.

Siddhartha Lal, Enfield’s managing Director, said: "We've had zero debt for about 14 years and it helps us in times of crisis and means we do not need to react in a knee-jerk way or in a manner which will affect our long-term success.

And with sales, up until the current crisis, flying the future looks bright. Enfield’s sales across Europe now account for 10,000 bikes per year from 400 dealers, with around 75% of those made up from the Himalayan and the new 650 twins. But Royal Enfield aren’t resting on their laurels with plenty of bikes in the pipeline.
