TIDBITS / NEWS / EVENTS
For those of you that have been reading my Tidbits for a while you will have heard me say this, and I am going to repeat myself, “I am the luckiest man alive because of the people I’m surrounded by.” When times get rough, which they truly are right now, the strength, tenacity, goodness and love comes out in some people, and I am so fortunate to see that all around me! I will even name some, even though they would prefer I didn’t. Cyndy, my mate and CFO of So Cal Motorcycles, her hard work and tireless efforts help keep me and the business alive. Rob, my VP of Operations is keeping the business running under impossible circumstances. Chris my Sales Manager is working countless hours wearing so many hats! Berto runs our warehouse and Gen Ops and I don’t know how we would function without him. John, our Triumph salesman, is working so hard! Jeremy has kept the parts department alive! Mike, Ryan, Danny and Chad in Service, Mike in Ducati sales and Danielle in accounting are getting us through this situation. I can go on like this for a very long time. I haven’t even started talking about my friends like Tom, Bill and others that are helping us through this, or my family that have been so supportive. I miss the rest of our staff, that we can’t bring back yet, but look forward to being able to get them to work soon.
Then there is you, our customer family! Without you there is no business, and am I so thankful that so many of you are still doing business with us.
If you are not listed here that doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate you in my life. Like I said, I truly am the luckiest man alive!
Ducati starts its engines again: new motorcycles soon to arrive in dealers
Ducati is set to gradually return to normal, with the steady resumption of production in its Borgo Panigale factory, scheduled to begin on Monday April 27.
In compliance with the regulatory protocol for measures to combat and contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus in the workplace, Ducati temporarily suspended production in its Bologna plant on Friday 13 March to reorganize production schedules.
Then came the decree that suspended all non-essential activities and therefore, despite the organization being ready, production did not restart. The gradual improvement in health conditions has allowed the government today to enable companies deemed strategic for the national economy, whose activity is mainly aimed at exports, and for which a prolongation of the suspension would risk losing our country additional market shares, to resume production. This is a first phase of return, which at the moment will only involve a part of the workers destined for the production lines.
