Not only have I been doing a lot more motorcycling but I haven’t forgotten my health. I am riding my e-bicycle three times a week now for about 20 miles each ride. I rode my standard bicycle, a Giant Roam, the other day and the differences were very minimal until I hit that headwind! On power setting one my Giant Reign E+ 0 Pro e-bicycle is about the same exertion as my regular bicycle. I keep track of my distance, speed and my heartbeat so I can compare the two equally.
Now for the headwind! As I kept pedaling my heart rate kept going up until I was exercising in a heartbeat range that was too high for me. Even though I was going slower the headwind was pretty brutal. Since my heart attack I was told I should keep my heart rate between 120 and 135 when exercising. It was getting near 150.
This is where my e-bicycle comes in and would have easily kept my heart rate in the proper zone by just adding more pedal assist. I can’t say enough about how cool that is and how it makes my bicycle riding so enjoyable and safer for me. Plus when I see that big hill coming I just smile!
Come in and demo one of these e-bicycles and it will blow your mind!
2020 Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro
The Tiger 900 is born again. It first leapt into action in 1993 after Triumph itself was reborn under new ownership in 1983. A decade of Tiger 800s began in 2010, adding up to some 85,000 sold. Now we’ve got an 888cc Tiger, all new from the ground up.
Most intriguing is a three-cylinder engine with a unique crankshaft layout Triumph dubs T-plane, which uses a 1-3-2 firing order. I was highly skeptical when I read reports that the new motor sounds almost like a twin-cylinder engine, but it actually does! It’s a big dose of a 270-degree parallel twin with a dash of traditional Triumph triple, and it’s unlike anything else on the road.
