Our take on the XDiavel
It sits you low and relaxed on a spoon-shaped seat with forward footpegs and a wide handlebar, yet it handles with a nimble, secure feel that belies its laid-back stance. Ducati calls it a sport cruiser, and the name fits.
On a long ride the seat has extra foam, and the passenger gets a wider, roomier seat with a hand grip included. For more lean angle the footpegs can be moved to a central position with an accessory kit, and the V4 answers the throttle with smooth, strong response at any speed. Roll it on in third and the XDiavel surges forward with a rush that never gets old.
What the reviewers say
“Turn-in is smooth and predictable, the bike holds a line with confidence, and it does so with less rider input than on the old 1260 XDiavel.”
Cycle NewsRennie Scaysbrook, August 2025Read the review on Cycle News (opens in a new tab) “Stick it in third and roll on, and it goes like stink, or dance around the gear lever like a maniac.”
VisordownSimon Hancocks, May 2025Read the review on Visordown (opens in a new tab) “Deep rivers of low and midrange grunt let you float along in lazy gears, although the engine clatters if you're too low in the revs.”

What’s new on the current XDiavel
This generation arrived for 2025.

V4 Granturismo engine
The 1262cc V-twin gives way to the 1158cc V4 Granturismo, with 168 hp and 93 ft-lb. A counter-rotating crank lightens the steering, and the Twin Pulse firing order keeps a deep rumble.
Rear cylinders rest at low load
At low revs and light throttle the rear cylinder bank shuts off, so the bike runs on two cylinders around town and puts less heat on the rider.
Valve checks every 37,000 miles
The V4's major service, including valve clearance checks, comes every 37,000 miles.
Everything new
New frame, lighter overall
A new aluminum monocoque frame and other savings bring it to 505 lb without fuel, about 13 lb less than the XDiavel 1260 S.
More comfort for two
Rear wheel travel grows by an inch, the rider seat is wider and thicker, the passenger seat is 30% wider and 50% longer, and the bars sit lower and closer for easier low-speed handling.
New electronics and dash
A 6.9-inch TFT from the Panigale V4 with Bluetooth, four riding modes and three power modes, cornering traction control, cruise control, launch control and an up/down quickshifter.
