I’ve Come Back to the Living!

Sent around March 2025. From our newsletter archive. Offers and prices in this issue have ended.

It’s been some time since my last Tidbits because I fell very ill and have had quite a battle getting through this. My gallbladder decided to kick the bucket and just sit there festering into full blown sepsis. I was experiencing severe stomach pain for such a long time as the doctors were putting me through all kinds of tests and procedures trying to figure out what was going on.

I finally couldn’t take it anymore and went to the Emergency Room where they admitted me and operated on me the next day and they cleaned me up inside. I spent over a week in the hospital and am now home and rehabilitating. Prognosis is good but the rehab is going to take a couple of months.

As I am healing I have spent hours looking at my motorcycles and thinking about the rides and places I plan on seeing when I get well. When I look at my Tiger and my Bonnie the emotions build up because I know the pure enjoyment they give me. You don’t realize how important riding is until you can’t do it.

This sickness came out of nowhere and really made me look at my life and think about what I want to do. I feel like that little kid in the old Honda commercial that said “I wanna ride!” And I have some great rides planned.

The weather is perfect now so get out and ride! You never know when something will happen that will stop you from riding for a while, so get out and enjoy that wonderful bike of yours!

Our 25th Anniversary Open House is on Saturday April 5th and will be a great event. Come enjoy demo rides, free food and drink, live music, vendors, a free raffle, and all of the fun. I will be there to say hi to everyone!

2026 Triumph TF 250-E and TF 450-E First Look

Competition racers join Hinckley’s off-road family.

Hot on the heels of its successful first foray into the motocross market with the 2024 250cc TF 250-X and 2025 TF 450-RC Edition competition models, Triumph has now announced a pair of expected off-road enduro models, the 2026 TF 250-E and TF 450-E (“E” for enduro, not electric!). While the MX side of the stable got the early attention, the enduro side was always inevitable and perhaps even more anticipated.

Both models are considered competition models and therefore don’t have provisions for dual sport legality, despite coming equipped with a headlight and taillight, but without turn indicators or a licence-plate holder. However, Triumph also notes that it has plans to expand the product range, so maybe we’ll see a street-legal dual sport in the near future. Both models were developed in collaboration with five-time World Champion Iván Cervantes and four-time World Enduro Champion Paul “Fast Eddy” Edmondson.

“We are entering the competitive Enduro scene with new models that introduce cutting-edge advancements in Enduro performance and technology,” said Steve Sargent, Triumph’s chief product officer. “Featuring a brand-new chassis and engine platform, the 2026 Enduro models are designed to elevate performance, handling, comfort, and usability, meeting the diverse needs of both professional and amateur riders.

“Working with Paul Edmondson’s team to test these bikes in real-world environments, our team have refined the agility and performance of these models, ensuring they excel whether a rider is new to Enduro or racing competitively. This level of all-round usability and excellence has not been seen in this sector before.”
