Cyndy and I had three pugs until a year ago when we lost our beloved Tazzi at 16 years of age. Now we have Beetlejuice, our first rescue, who is also 16 years old, mostly blind, deaf and can’t walk. Rounding out the pack is our other rescue, 6 year old, one-eyed Tater Tot and he is healthy and happy.
To us, these babies are our children. They have given us so much love their whole lives that we owe them a lifetime of love, care and happiness. There is a saying I agree with, “a dog is the purest example of unconditional love on earth!”
With that said we want to help dogs as much as we can, and we donate to and attend dog rescue and charity events often. So Southern California Motorcycles is sponsoring our own dog rescue fundraiser and adoption event at the dealership with Pug Nation of L.A. on Saturday, July 27th!
There will be free food and drinks, lots of wonderful pugs to be adopted and representatives from Pug Nation to answer all of your questions and show you those beautiful angels. KLOS will be there broadcasting and helping make this event successful.
It is a fundraiser and So Cal Motorcycles is matching your donations, so please help us reach our goal of $15,000 for Pug Nation! They save the lives of over 500 dogs a year, and their tireless work will continue to save countless more.
Come check out these pugs from 11am to 3pm, make a donation or maybe even adopt one! So Cal Motorcycles will be open our regular hours so we can take care of all of your motorcycle needs also.
You can go online to pugnationla.org or socalmotorcycles.com for more information.
I’ll see you there!

Ducati Panigale V2 Superquadro Final Edition First Look
555 numbered units will be produced with a long list of exclusive features.
All good things must come to an end, even in the world of successful production motorcycle models. As was the case with Ducati’s 2018 1299 Panigale R Final Edition—which was the last open-class V-twin superbike the company produced—the Panigale V2 Superquadro will be the last of the current “middleweight” Panigale V2 model’s bloodline. This limited-edition series will include 555 numbered units celebrating the history of the final Superquadro twin.
In a weird twist of fate, the Panigale V2 is currently achieving racetrack success like never before. Just this past weekend, Adrián Huertas completely dominated the proceedings in the World Supersport Championship at Donington Park in England, with his fifth-straight win. He now is leading the championship by a healthy margin. Closer to home in the US, Rahal Ducati Moto’s PJ Jacobsen took his fourth and fifth wins of the season at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca’s MotoAmerica Supersport round and is a close second in the championship.
Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati leads the Superbike Championship after Josh Herrin delivers a masterclass at Laguna Seca
Following Josh Herrin’s dominant performance at Laguna Seca, Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati is now the points leader in the 2024 Steel Commander MotoAmerica Superbike Championship. Today’s momentous victory marks Ducati as the points leader for the first time since Ferracci Ducati pilot Troy Corser had the lead in 1994, ultimately winning the 1994 AMA Superbike Championship.
This weekend, Herrin took the lead in the championship after finishing second place in race one on Saturday, July 13. From there, Herrin knew it was all to play for in the second encounter on Sunday afternoon.
The Georgian refused to let race one winner Cameron Beaubier separate from the pack in the early stages, taking the lead at turn 11 on lap four and setting a fast but controlled pace as Beaubier, Sean Dylan Kelly, and Bobby Fong all tried and failed to find a way past.
Herrin stayed strong, and with a final lap that thwarted any possible attack from Beaubier, he crossed the line to take his third win of the year by 0.244s and move an impressive 15 points clear in the title chase heading into the summer break.
MIKKEL HAARUP DELIVERS CAREER-BEST SECOND OVERALL AT MXGP OF LOMBOK
Monster Energy Triumph Racing’s Mikkel Haarup has placed a fine second overall at round 12 of the FIM MX2 Motocross World Championship. The exceptional result is a career-best finish for the Dane and the TF 250-X, and with Camden McLellan placing seventh overall, the MXGP of Lombok was a certainly a fruitful one for all involved in the MX2 racing program.
One week on from a largely successful first visit to the Lombok race track for MXGP round 11, Monster Energy Triumph Racing returned to find a revised circuit that ran in the opposite direction. Both riders adapted quickly, and in the MX2 Qualifying Race, Haarup placed fifth with McLellan 14th.
