TIDBITS / NEWS / EVENTS

We just received our first Triumph Rocket 3Rs and GTs and OMG! Triumph has gone over the top with the Rocket 3 now. They are simply incredible! You may remember back in 2004 when the Rocket first came out it had the largest production motorcycle engine with torque that had never been seen on a motorcycle. The old model was large and could be a handful hustling it through the twisties. It was a great motorcycle and oh what fun to ride.

Triumph’s new Rocket 3s are absolutely phenomenal! My friend John, who has ridden everything on two wheels, told me after he rode it that it is the best motorcycle he has ever ridden. That is saying something. It now has 2500cc (2.5 liter), 165Hp and a whopping 163 ft/lbs of torque. That is stratospheric Torque! It is also much lighter and handles way better than the first ones could dream of. Then let’s just say they scored a home run with its looks. It is so good that I am planning to ride one to Sturgis this year!

So with all that said you really need to come check out these new Rockets. You can demo them anytime we are open. Let’s have some fun!

2020 Triumph Street Triple RS First Ride Review

When Triumph revamped its Street Triple platform back in 2017, a significant aspect of the generational update included producing three variants of its popular middleweight sport naked. Sharing the same basic 765cc in-line three-cylinder engine and cast alloy frame, each model (designated S, R, and RS) featured variations of engine tune, electronic ride modes, suspension, tires, brakes, and styling cues offering distinct character, performance, and price points within the category.

Over the past two years the Cycle World staff have voted the Street Triple Best Middleweight Streetbike in our annual Ten Best Bikes. It's been the middle-tier R model that has won our favor however, largely due to its road-focused engine tune offering greater midrange torque than that of its peak-power-centric track-tuned RS sibling.
