Both use Royal Enfield's 349cc single, with the same smooth, unhurried character. The real difference is how you sit: the Classic puts you upright with your feet under you, and the Meteor is a small cruiser with a lower seat and your feet forward.

Choose the Classic 350 if…
- You like sitting up tall with your feet under you.
- Your roads are a little rough, or your days are long.
- You want Royal Enfield's best-known shape, with more colors to pick from.

Choose the Meteor 350 if…
- You picture yourself cruising, feet forward and relaxed.
- You want a bigger tank for longer stretches.
- You spend time on the freeway and want a steady, planted feel.
Which one fits your riding style?
Here's where the difference shows up on the road.
Around town
Both are easy at city speeds. The Classic's upright seat gives you a good view over traffic, and the Meteor's lower saddle makes it easy to put your feet down at a light.
The difference: Both are easy. The Meteor feels more planted at a stop.
The freeway
Reviewers say the Classic will hold 70 mph without complaint, and they call the Meteor rock solid and planted on the freeway. If your rides include a stretch of the 57 or the 91, the Meteor's relaxed cruiser position is a little easier over the miles.
The difference: Both handle the freeway. The Meteor is more relaxed doing it.

Back roads
The Classic's upright position makes it easy to move around on rough or broken pavement. The Meteor is planted in the canyons too, it just asks you to lean back and enjoy it.
The difference: Rough roads favor the Classic.

Classic or Meteor: which one fits you?
It comes down to how you like to sit, because the engine is the same.
If you want an upright, classic motorcycle that's easy on rough roads and long days, the Classic is the one, and it costs $200 less in MSRP.
If you want to kick back and let the miles roll by, the Meteor's cruiser seat and bigger tank are worth it.
Our advice: Sit on both. Feet under you or feet forward: your body will tell you which one is yours.
The best way to decide is to sit on both, back to back. We'll have them side by side for you.
