Me and You and a Dog Named Boo

Sent around October 2024. From our newsletter archive. Offers and prices in this issue have ended.

Most of you know that Cyndy’s and my fur family is pugs. Those of you that have come to the store have probably seen me with Beetlejuice by my side in her stroller. Our other pug, Tater Tot, is usually in Cyndy’s accounting office with her.

Beetlejuice, So Cal’s Micro Manager, is our 16 year old little girl that is mostly blind, deaf and her hips are shot. Despite that she still bosses us around, loves riding in the car and being the center of attention. She has given us 16 years of love and we will love and care for to her until her last breath. We lost our oldest pug Tazzie last year and he was 16 years old. Our Chief Moral Officer,Tater Tot, just turned seven and he is precious, loving and acts crazy from time to time.

Dogs are the purest example of unconditional love on the planet earth. Dogs deserve the best lives but unfortunately most humans don’t deserve dogs. The mistreatment, neglect, puppy mills and abandonment are off the scale.

A couple of months ago we had an event to support Pug Nation LA and raised $19,000 for that worthy rescue. We intend to keep supporting them as much as we can, as well as other rescue groups because all animals need our help.

With this said we are going to add a section to every week’s Tidbits featuring our “Rescue of the Week” with information on who to contact for adoption. These babies all need your help so if you don’t want to adopt right now, please send a donation to one of the rescue organizations. Next time you come by ask to see Beetlejuice or Tater Tot. They would love to meet you!

2025 Triumph Tiger Sport 800 First Look

New 798cc triple splits the 660 and 850.

If it wasn’t for the oversized “800″ graphics on the sides of the tank, it would be easy to think you’re simply looking at Triumph’s existing Tiger Sport 660. However, despite the similarities the new Tiger Sport 800 packs more than 40 percent more power and promises to be one of the most appealing adventure bikes in the company’s range as a result.

From a capacity increase of only 20 percent (for a total of 798cc) the Tiger Sport 800 manages an additional 33 hp over the visually similar 660 model, increasing the total peak output from 80 to 113 hp. That shifts the bike into a higher category altogether, landing between Ducati’s 111 hp Multistrada V2 and the 117 hp Yamaha Tracer 9 GT+ in terms of power, but achieving it at a substantially lower price than either. The power peak arrives at 10,750 rpm, and while the maximum torque of 61.9 lb.-ft. doesn’t arrive until 8,500 rpm, 90 percent of it is accessible throughout the midrange.

Bulega on top form, comes close to a hat-trick of wins at Jerez. Difficult weekend for Bautista. Newly-crowned World Supersport champion Huertas concludes Race-2 in fourth

It was a weekend to remember for Nicolò Bulega. After his splendid victory in Saturday's Race-1, the Aruba.it Racing - Ducati rider brings the Panigale V4R to triumph at the end of a spectacular Superpole Race in which he gets the better of Razgatlioglu. In Race 2 Bulega seems to be able to complete his season in the best possible way, but a red flag five laps from the end does not allow him to attempt the decisive attack on the Turkish rider.

Alvaro Bautista makes up positions in the Superpole Race, finishing ninth. In Race 2, however, the Spaniard did not find a good feeling and crashed in the middle of the race.
