EVENTS!

Sent around June 2025. From our newsletter archive. Offers and prices in this issue have ended.

For nearly 45 years I have been working motorcycle events and for the last 25 years they have been Southern California Motorcycles related. That’s a whole lot of events and I have enjoyed every one of them. We host and participate in more events than any dealer I have ever known, and I believe in them because they bring new riders into the dealership.

These events are more like big parties than work. Being around excited motorcycle enthusiasts, seeing all of the great bikes they ride and talking to them for hours is priceless. Even though the purpose of events is business the fun is off the scale!

Our next event is our Southern California Royal Enfield Open House and Demo Event on Saturday June 21st! It will be like all of our events offering Demo Rides, Free Food and Drinks, Free Raffle, Music, and special discounts for that day. There are just so few motorcycle events now a days compared to pre-covid times and that is sad. This is why we will be having even more events so you can get out and ride and have some fun.

We do need help because these events need a lot of helpers and organization. So if you would like to pitch in by being a demo ride leader or tail rider, help with signups or just help in general please call Chris at the store or email him at (chris@socalmotorcycles.com) or me, (tom@socalmotorcycles.com). It is a lot of fun and we will give you a gift card as our appreciation.

So ride over to see us on Saturday the 21st and eat some free food, demo ride the Royal Enfields, enjoy the vendors and music and maybe win a prize in the raffle. I look forward to seeing and talking with so many of you!

EVENTS

We’re thrilled to congratulate Everette for taking part in The 2025 Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride! Not only did you raise enough funds to enter our raffle, but you’re also the lucky winner of the Custom Triumph Speed 400 this year, that was donated by Southern California Triumph and customized by British Customs. Well done, Everette!

2026 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RX First Ride Review

This yellow isn’t mellow.

Well, we certainly can’t miss it now. The luminescent performance yellow beast before us may have been carefully hidden from the internet, from the press, and from the whole world until this moment, but now, with warmers wrapped around its Pirelli slicks and looking like it was already doing 100 mph, it pulsates light and aggression in the Portimão pit lane. The Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RX had truly entered the room.

Like the equally yellow Street Triple 765 Moto2 Edition of 2023, this is Triumph doing full sports—showing the world that its flagship super-naked may not quite hit the 200-hp high notes of BMW’s M 1000 R and Ducati’s Streetfighter V4 S, but that it is no less capable of cutting a race-pace lap time. And doing so for far fewer bucks.

It is, fundamentally, a 2026 Speed Triple 1200 RS with track-focused tweaks. The

1160cc triple makes the same climbed 180 hp as the RS, while the frame, event-based Öhlins EC3 suspension, and chassis geometry remain unaltered too.

It arrives, however, with a far sportier riding position, an Akrapovič silencer, and a semi-active EC3-controlled Öhlins steering damper. There’s a fresh sprinkling of carbon fiber and a grippy race seat, plus, of course, that unmissable yellow finish. It will be priced at $21,495, just $1500 more than the standard RS.
